Ear Headstall
Can I use a normal show headstall for a bosal!?
Seriously guys I need to figure this out, lol.
The reason I'm asking is I want to use a bosal with my horse, but the normal bosal hangers don't usually go over the ears, and that's what I want. If you know of any cheap-ish NICE bosal hangers that go over TWO ears (but not a browband) please give me the link!
You can use a normal headstall for a bosal rig. I have sold many Jose Ortiz bosal sets with one of his ultra fancy headstalls on it to some big name competiors to use at Congress and World. There is no rule that says you cannot. I am not sure what you mean by not going over the ears, since the bosal hangers I sell, all sit right behind the ears, (just one piece of leather that goes from side to side). I have never seen a one eared bosal hanger. I have one that I could send you if you would like to try it. Email me if you are interested.
