No slip pad suggestions?
My horse has a high withers (TB) and I need a no slip pad. My trainer has an anti-slip pad that works great on him, but they changed it. It was an older Nunn Finer pad. I bought a new Nunn Finer pad and they chaned the material. The third ride it split down the middle! (his withers aren't THAT high!) And we do not want a breastcollar.
Has anyone tried this: Comfort Breather Non-Slip'' English Mesh Saddle Pad
Or this one: Grooma AiRider Non-Slip Saddle Pad
Do they work? What about Rider's International? Do you have any suggestions?

I've ridden high-withered TB horses for 18 years, and here's the truth - if your saddle fits properly, and is not over padded, it will stay in place. The trainer I grew up with spent all kinds of time monkeying around with wet chamois cloths, breast collars, breastplates, no slip pads, wither pads, riser pads, you name it. NOTHING worked consistently. Then I went to horse college and started learning about proper saddle fits - something he never bothered with. One of his saddles (I later found out) had a broken tree for goodness sake!
Lo and behold, when I had a saddle fitter look at my TB hunter, she found the saddle my trainer INSISTED I needed - did not fit. I got one that did, and no longer needed any "gadgets" to keep my saddle in place. My current TB has withers like a camel - once again I had a saddle fitter come out, find us a saddle that fit me and my horse, and it stays put.
