Pad Bridle Girth
WHat do I need to half-lease a horse?
I'm half-leasing a TB gelding from my showing barn. They feed it, muck the stalls, worm it, shoe it, medicate it, etc.
I'm half leasing it with the school half me half them.
so far I have
all grooming supplies
all supplies for me (helmet etc)
a saddle pad
I'm getting:
wither pad
saddle
bridle
tack cleaning stuff
shampoo+conditioner
girth
blanket
anything else i need?
I think you pretty much have it down. I would also remember a halter and lead rope if that doesn't come with the horse. Even if it does, I would get an extra. Get a few different blankets as well (heavy duty, sheet, cooler) just to make sure. Also you will want a sweat scraper for after he bathes. Treats are probably good too
