Is this saddle good?
Hello,
I am looking for a new saddle, a close contact because i do eventing with my horse.
I am looking for something of good quality but not over $700, because if all the other costs i already have.
Its called the M.Toulouse Close Contact, and it is on Smartpak for $700.

My horse has a regular sized back, but medium withers, and i need a seat size 16 or 16.5. Is this saddle good for me and my horse?
Also, if anyone knows of any bridles or stirrup leathers would match either the dark brown or the newmarket of this saddle, that would be great.

You do know that the saddle you want is not in stock and with shipping it would go over the $700 you are willing to spend? Check out Tacktrader.com and Ebay for used saddles...which I recommend over buying brand new...you don't need to break in a new saddle and don't need to spend the extra $$$ on a new saddle. I like the Crosby Collegiate series. I have had one of their close contact saddles for over 20 years and use it to break my babies in. It is a great saddle, very comfortable and still has a lot of life in it AND it is a reasonably priced saddle.
