Is This A Good Winter Horse Blanket........?

It will be for my quarter horse and the temperatures get in the 40's and 30's in the winter rite now their 40's to 70's when it warmer he won't wear it, but when it's cold he will. Do I need a light-weight one or a med-weight one? And would this one work because I like it a lot?

Well, this one doesn't say if it is breathable or not - if you have temp variations of any kind a breathable blanket is a must.
You linked to a 400g fill blanket - this would be way to heavy for temps in the 30's. 180g - 200g is suggested for those temps.
Personally I think it is a little long - unless they have a very short model! But 1200D means it should last.
So if check if it is breathable and if it has any waterproofing guarantee you should be fine!
